My Dogs are doing great on Canidae. I just spoke with Canidae less than 2 minutes ago and they have not changed their product at all. My little (10 and 13 pounds) dogs love it, easy to eat small bits, and it’s a high grade food source for them. What more can I say. I’ve yet to find any of the dogs I know that love it. I still have my allergic dog eating it, but she has to be hungry to eat this without doctoring. She was clean and well groomed. She was not ever in a house. As many people know Jacks are an extremely active breed and keeping weight on them can be a problem. We were feeding Flint River, a very high quality food, both of my jacks were getting 2 cups a day just to maintain a slightly below average weight. Since she is only 10 pounds the price difference isn’t too bad. I am a free feeder which isn’t ideal but means my dog basically has access to food any time she wants it. He would pick at it almost from the beginning, walk away, come back – a little more eating and allot of drinking. A big benefit and another part of the reason for a search, is the reduction in feces.

I searched high and low for several months for a dog food that would help with his stomach issues and finally found another brand of dog food that, while not organic, helped relieve the gas problem. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this and will continue to purchase.

Canidae is worth every penny. This is the best dog food I ever had her coat was thin and so was she now after a month she has a thick coat, no dander and has gained about 8 pound this is great stuff and she loves it I had read a lot about the health benefits of using Canidae for my dogs. I have been feeding this to my Standard Poodle for quite some time. It was recommended by a local dog day care/grooming/training center called Great Dog Shoppe in Seattle.

Not only do I know that they will eat it right away but it produces a lot less poop. With all the other kinds of food we would see it just sit there for hours and hours.

I have 4 dogs and all were sick on this food. One actually almost died.

It seems like his body is getting more out of his food. He seems to have an improved activity level.

Digesting kibbles is a problem a lot of old dogs have. She appears healthy, much better than on previous dry foods we have tried, including other organics. The Canidae Grain-Free All Life Stages has a 34% protein level, which seems to do better with my Shetland sheepdogs’ stomachs than the higher protein kibbles. I’ve fed another brand of grain-free kibble (Innova EVO turkey & chicken) that had 42% protein which was too high for them to handle even when switching to it gradually and only getting a 1/4 cup a day, 42% protein made their poo liquid.
